Baked Cod Recipe

Baked Cod is moist, juicy, flaky whitefish baked in butter, garlic, lemon and savory spices. Cod is a mild tasting fish that easily picks up the flavor of herbs and seasonings.


cod fillet, paprika, onion and garlic powder, ground thyme, cayenne pepper, ground black pepper, garlic cloves, lemon juice, fresh parsley, unsalted butter, olive oil, salt to taste

Prepare Cod:

Brush cod with oil, pour lemon juice, sprinkle seasonings, minced garlic and parsley then top with slices of butter. Surround with lemon slices, if desired. Note: Cut cod in half if too big for casserole dish.

Bake Cod:

Pre-heat oven at 400 degrees F. Bake cod for 12-14 minutes or until it flakes with internal temperature of 145 degrees F.  Do not overcook. Cod will get rubbery. Garnish with parsley. Serve.
