Eggnog Cookie Recipe

This eggnog cookie recipe is soft, not too sweet with subtle blend of spices topped with not too rich eggnog frosting and sprinkled lightly with nutmeg. It is easy and delicious holiday give-away.


Cookie Dough: flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, unsalted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, rum, eggnog Frosting: butter, eggnog, rum extract, powdered sugar

In a bowl, combine all the dry ingredients of cookie dough.  In a mixer, blend all wet ingredients then add dry ingredients.

Scoop a heaping tablespoon of dough and place in baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Space each cookie by 2 inches. Bake 11 – 13 minutes.

Make eggnog frosting and top cookies once completely cool. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
