How to Make Mustard Sauce 

Mustard sauce complement meat, fish, seafood or vegetables. It is easy, creamy but not rich or heavy!


butter, flour, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, ground pepper, parmesan cheese

First, make the roux. Roux is butter and flour cooked together and used as a thickening agent.

Add milk, whisk and blend with roux.

Add Dijon mustard. Stir.

Stir-in salt, pepper and parmesan cheese.

Stir until thick over medium-low heat.

Pour in a sauce dish. It will continue to thicken while it cools.
