    It is a concoction of healthy berries like strawberry and blueberry mixed with almond milk and chia seeds, topped with coconut milk and your favorite berry fruits.

    This Coconut Acai Berry Smoothie can be a meal in itself if your New Year’s Resolution is to eat healthy and lose weight. Make it your superfood for 2020, loaded with delicious fresh fruits with natural sugar.

    During New Year, guess what most people are googling “Healthy Food” and one of the most googled is smoothie. It is easy to prepare and make.

    You don't need an expensive blender to make one and it is easy on your pocket. Homemade smoothies are way cheaper than store bought smoothies. A small smoothie can cost you over $7.00.

    Acai smoothie is a Brazilian snack made of acai fruit powder or puree loaded with nutrition. It is rich in antioxidants, contains healthy fats, low in sugar that could also help improve your cholesterol levels. Aside from these, there are other health benefits you can gain by adding this to your diet as per Healthline.

    This acai fruit powder is available at Trader’s Joe and Wholefoods. If you get it at Trader’s Joe, the package contains 4 packets labeled “Unsweetened Organic Puree Packets”.

    At Whole Foods, it is labeled “Sambazon Acai Organic Superfruit Packs” with 4 packets.

    Now it is so popular, I have no doubt you can easily find this powder in your local grocer. I googled it and Target carries it too.

    How to Make Coconut Acai Berry Smoothie

    These are the main ingredients.

    Acai puree, blueberries, strawberries, banana, chia seeds, almond milk and coconut milk then garnish with your favorite berry fruits like raspberry and blackberry.

    Trader Joe's Organic Acai Puree Packets

    Acai Puree are available in Trader Joe's, Whole Foods & maybe your local grocer.

    Acai puree packet is thaw in running cold water.

    Before using Acai puree packet thaw it in running cold water.

    Use a blender to make smoothie.

    An inexpensive blender can used to make a smoothie.

    Ingredients

    • 1 Acai puree packet
    • 1 cup vanilla almond milk
    • ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
    • 2 pieces frozen big strawberry
    • ½ banana
    • ¼ cup coconut milk
    • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

    Top with your favorite berries & fruits

    • Raspberry
    • Blueberry
    • Banana
    • Blackberry
    • Banana

    Instructions

    • Thaw a packet of acai puree in running water for a few minutes.
    • In a blender, break acai puree into small pieces.
    • Add blueberries, strawberries, chia seeds and banana.
    • Pour almond milk.
    • Blend well until smooth.
    • Pour in glass and top with coconut milk.
    • Garnish with fresh fruits.
