Ingredients
- 4 to 5 cups cooking oil
Marinade
- 1 pound chicken breast
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 teaspoons parsley
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
Breading
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons parsley
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons buttermilk
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breast into strips.
- On a big bowl add the chicken.
- Combine all the marinade with the chicken.
- Mix well and cover with saran wrap. Place in the fridge for at least an hour or longer.
- When chicken is almost ready. Start making the breading.
- Combine and mix the flour, salt, parsley, black pepper and garlic powder.
- Pour buttermilk and mix well until crumbly.
- Coat each chicken strips with breading. Shaking it to remove excess breading.
- Heat oil and fry chicken strips until golden and crispy.
- Place on a strainer to remove excess oil. Transfer in a plate lined with paper towel.
- Serve with your favorite veggie and dressing. Enjoy!
