Spicy Margarita recipe is a concoction of lime juice, cilantro, jalapeno, cucumber muddled together topped with sprite and tequila. For a spicier drink, add the jalapeno seeds as well.

Spicy jalapeno margairta recipe with jalapeno and cilantro.
You can use frozen jalapeno. Still thawing my jalapeno!

You’ll be surprise, this drink is so refreshing with or without tequila and the jalapeno adds a twist to it.

When making spicy margarita, use a pitcher if making for a group of people otherwise use a shaker to prepare a couple of drinks.

My muddler was too short for the pitcher so I got creative and used my slender rolling pin. In fact, it was easier to use.

My niece introduced me to this drink on her birthday and I got hooked. This Spicy Margarita recipe is my choice of drink this summer.

This weekend, I made Spicy Margarita to give cheers to the cast and crew of the show “The Chew”. I did not realize that the show was cancelled and Friday was their last day.

Earlier last week, when Clinton was talking about their last day, I thought he meant their last show for the summer. But I was wrong. That was sad.

I discovered “The Chew” a year ago and religiously watched them. I will miss these three bubbly personalities - Carla, Michael and Clinton. Oh well, Cheers to you guys and Goodluck to new adventures!

CHEERS!

Well as I have said earlier, my niece made this Spicy Margarita recipe on her birthday. She muddled and chilled the ingredients ahead of time.

Once everyone arrived, she served her spicy margarita. She prepared two pitchers, added ice and sprite to the muddled ingredients. One was plain and the other with tequila. Guess which one I had!

Since then, I found myself craving for this drink. There was a time when I had it for the whole week, during dinner and late nights while making my blog. It is indeed addicting!

Tips making this refreshing spicy margarita

This spicy margarita recipe can be adjusted to your liking, that’s why I like it.

If you don’t like it spicy, remove the jalapeno seeds or if you prefer some big "axx" heat then slice the jalapeno with the seeds.

You can also reduce or add more lime or tequila. That’s what so nice about this recipe, you can never go wrong.

One more tip from my niece, if you have some leftover muddled ingredients, freeze and have it whenever.

The best way to do it is to strain the ingredients and pour the mixture in an ice tray. Once frozen, transfer to a ziplock.

It is way easier to make a couple of drinks and I had a supply for the whole week.

To make my drink, I placed 3 cubes in a glass then I pour Sprite and tequila. Next time I make it, I’ll try using limeade. Also, it seems like this will go well with jello shots. I’ll keep you posted.

It is past midnight, I'm still writing this post and I am craving for this drink. Unfortunately, I don’t have the ingredients. I should follow her tip, always have it ready…….
